about
I ran through the forest, away from this terrible creature, which did not lag behind me a step. For a while, I thought I could run away, but I looked back and saw his silhouette flashing between the trees. Away, away from this monster. I heard him breathing, it sounded like the creak of an unlubricated gate.
Something flashed. In the light of the moon, I saw a thin hand gripping the trunk of a tree. It was terrible. I didn't need to look back, I knew he was there. I could only run. Run!
As soon as I thought that I could tear myself away from him, he reappeared right next to me. I felt so terrified that I was ready to cry. There's nowhere else to run. My legs gave way, and I fell into the moss. HE stood over me, looked at me. His eyes, unlike his hands, were completely human. But there was no compassion in them. I thought he was grinning. He raised his hand and I braced myself, expecting pain.
It happened quickly. No sooner had I realized that he touched my chest, an unbearable pain threw me to the ground. Without even having time to get scared, I felt terrible happiness. The pain disappeared and I plunged into eternal, impenetrable darkness.
